DR SEBI

Born Alfredo Bowman on November 26, 1933 in Ilanga Village in Spanish Honduras, Dr. Sebi came to the United States as a 20-year-old self-educated man who was diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, impotency and obesity. After unsuccessful treatments with conventional doctors, Sebi was lead to a herbologist in Mexico.

Finding great healing success from all of his ailments, he began creating a natural compound from electric foods geared for intra-cellular cleansing and the revitalization of all the cells that make up the human body.

Inspired by the personal healing experience and knowledge he gained, he began sharing the compounds with others and gave birth to the USHA Research Institute, The Fig Tree and the Healing Village.

Sebi is a pathologist, herbalist, biochemist and a naturalist, He has studied and personally observed herbs in Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean and the United States and has developed a unique approach to herbalism that is firmly rooted in over 15 year of practical experience.

Any links will be appreciated.

Nobody had answered this question because nobody answers EDUCATED QUESTIONS!!!!!! Just silly, EASY Questions!!!!!!! Like in Polls and Surveys and Entertainment. I knew someone would not be lazy and take their time to answer mine!!!!!!!!

I need answers so I am going to post it everywhere.
I don’t care if it is not interesting!!!!!!! That isn’t my question. It is regarding my EDUCATION!!!!!! not some dumb stoooopid question about do you think I am pretty? or what is your favorite food?
DuH!!!!!! I am answering the questions!!!!!! I am not like other people that just earn two points for nothing. Go back to the question and READ It!!!!!

Don’t listen to that girl who is 12 yrs. old ♫♥Archie’s Angel♥♫ . She doesn’t know anything.
EVERYONE DOES THE SAME THING of posting a link to their question and they don’t even answer. At least "chiquita banana" answered the questions!!!!!!!

Here I will provide the BEST ADVICE: Go to your school to the counseling department and talk to a Counselor, or a Career Counselor, sometimes in their departments they have catalogs listing MAJORS and SCHOOLS!!!!!!!

Also try looking up the internet, do research.
USE GOOGLE:
Type: "Nutrition" and read about it, then Type: "Pharmacology" and read about it. Then type: "Medicine" and read about it. You can also search under health related careers.

You can also read magazines and articles related to Health. Like the Magazines: Natural Health, Women’s Health, Fitness, Shape, etc.

Hope this helps:)

Thyroid Health Problems How, Why, and What to Do Next

November 19, 2009 Posted by admin

The thyroid gland is a precision instrument that is vital in growth and metabolism. This means that not only is the thyroid gland essential for the function of our bodies, but also that it needs to be working perfectly for optimum health.

One of the most common forms of thyroid problem is hypothyroidism or an under active thyroid gland. The most prevalent form of hypothyroidism is thyroiditis or Hashimoto’s Disease, an auto immune disease affecting the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism can also be caused by a thyroid gland that is inflamed or sluggish. Thyroid problems can be due to iodine deficiency, an after effect of surgery or medication, or dysfunction of the pituitary gland. First, let’s look at the symptoms and diagnosis of thyroid problems more closely.

What are the symptoms of hypothyroidism?

One of the first signs is usually weight gain, especially if the pounds pile on quickly and are almost impossible to remove. The skin could become dry and rough, the hair dry and coarse, and constant tiredness are also symptoms of this thyroid problem. There could also be memory loss, cramps and constipation. All of these symptoms or just a few can be present, which means diagnosis of a thyroid problem by your physician I recommended.

A blood test for levels of thyroid hormones TSH and T4 is the most precise way to diagnose a health problem. Now, most precise does not necessarily mean very precise, and in fact there is no specific level of thyroid hormones that is “normal” for everyone. Thyroid problems can appear in someone who has the same levels as someone else who seems perfectly fine. The range of thyroid levels considered normal is quite wide. Nevertheless, a blood test remains the best way to diagnose a thyroid health problem, such as hypothyroidism.

Treatment of hypothyroidism

The conventional treatment for thyroid health problems is Levothyroxine, a synthetic thyroid hormone. This treatment can be often very hit-and-miss, with constant monitoring needed as to how levothyroxine levels are affecting the condition. An alternate method of treating thyroid health problems is using a natural thyroid hormone, such as an extract from cows. Here however, there is always the fear of virus contamination. In both cases it is hoped that changing the thyroid hormone levels will treat the causes of the thyroid problem, rather than just temporarily relieve the symptoms.

Natural treatment of hypothyroidism

Vitamins and supplements are also vital when treating thyroid health problems, and for general thyroid support. Vitamins A and C help a lot, as does an increased intake of copper. It’s best to cut out stimulants like alcohol, tea and coffee, as well as smoking. Food with additives and preservatives should be avoided, while fresh vegetables and fruit should be increased to restore balance to your body.

There are also natural remedies being used to treat various thyroid problems. Kelp is said to be very effective and has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine. However, if you are using it to for thyroid support, you must be sure that the kelp comes from a reputed source as it can be contaminated with effluents if it has been harvested too close to the shore. Go-ji or the lyceum berry is also said to be good for thyroid problems, as is avena sativa, a wild oat plant.

The causes of thyroid problems are numerous, so the best way to maintain thyroid health is by taking a holistic approach to health and nutrition. In addition, various herbs and natural remedies are available that are believed to actively treat the problem. Only Mitamins can create a vitamin supplement that combines the essential vitamins and minerals needed for thyroid health with herbs that are known to help in the treatment of thyroid problems.

If I have to how do I calmly speak to my vet about nutrition?

November 19, 2009 Posted by admin

Most vets in my area still recomend very poor quality food the one I am seeing even put my dog on a food that contains ethoxyquin (sp) as a sensitive stomach diet plus the first ingredient was corn and third was pork fat.
I have an appointment on saturday to discuss a more holistic approach to vet care for my 6 month old GSD and I am sure she will bring up food. I feed raw and I know that vets around here turn their nose up at you and act like you are an idiot, at least my last one did. I am not an idiot I read books about pet food and about natural health and came up with being the best option for my dogs. I learned that dogs don’t need grains at all and they don’t digest them well, hence the huge piles of poo in the back yard. I also learned what is really in a lot of the food recomended by vets and other popular brands. Should I just avoid the topic all toghether or try to calmly let her know that I believe it is the right thing.
Thanks I am going to have to work on my tone of voice before hand I can tell but good ideas about bringing quotes and books also about asking questions about reading material she would suggest. I don’t want her to think or feel like I am trying to make her look stupid just like I don’t want her to do that to me
well tulip I have a question for you why is higly processed food recomended for pets but human doctors tell you to avoid them! My conclusion is they are not good for people or dogs! So weather it is a home-cooked or raw diet it is much better than highly processed food with half the essentials baked and processed out of them.

Don’t be afraid to let her know *why* you’ve made the choices that you have. You’ll both feel better if you share your reasons for feeding raw. I would recommend that you take excerpts from some of the books and articles that you’ve read, and bring them in to her. Maybe even bring one of the books, you never know, she may be interested in borrowing it.

When it comes to nutrition, IMO, no one should have to *answer to* their vet as to why they’ve made the choices that they have, for *their* dogs. Vet’s advice (Science Diet?) is welcome, but you do have the right to make your own educated decision, which is what you’ve done.

Your vet should be happy to see that you have taken the time to educate yourself on nutrition, to care for your dog’s overall health. If she makes a huge fuss about your *educated* choice to feed raw, or tries to make you feel like a bad owner, then IMO that would be reason enough to switch vets.

Good luck!

do you care about ‘your freedom’ to use natural healing?

November 18, 2009 Posted by admin

The Codex Alimentarius is a threat to the freedom of people to choose natural healing and alternative medicine and nutrition. Ratified by the World Health Organization, and going into Law in the United States in ’2009′!, the threat to health freedom has never been greater.
This is the first part of a series of talks by Dr. Rima Laibow MD, available on DVD from the Natural Solutions Foundation, an non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about how to stop Codex Alimentarius from taking away our right to freely choose nutritional health.
Its a bit long but, very well worth veiwing and passing on if you care about your freedom to natural healing!

sounds like the witch burnings all over again. Why dont we outlaw legislators and politics instead. I have taken several classes on wild herbs and plants, and I try to harvest my own as much as possible. And I will continue to do so till the day they put me on the rack or burn me alive for doing it. Thanks for the info tho!

I want to get some sort of alternative medicine/nutrition training in the Portland, OR area but don’t know how?

November 16, 2009 Posted by admin

I left my traditional college because I wasn’t satisfied with it and what I was studying any longer. For years I have had an very strong interest in natural health remedies and nutritional therapy. Now I think it would be wonderful to get some sort of training or certificate so I could pursue a job in something related to this. I’m saving up money but I don’t have tons to throw around either. I plan on moving to Portland, OR within 6 months or so and would like to pursue some sort of training after I move out there. Any help? What schools/training programs are available in that area?

Best school in Portland for what you’re looking for. If you’re really concerned about price, there’s always Student Aid.

How Using Natural Remedies Can Give You Better Sexual Health

November 14, 2009 Posted by admin

As everyone knows diet and nutrition are important to health. What you may not realize however is that it is important to a woman’s sexual health as well. As a woman ages her hormone levels decrease. Her libido plummets into nothingness. One option available to treat this is hormone replacement therapy but this is not the only option available. If a woman chooses not to use hormone replacement therapy they can often help themselves by paying very close attention to their diet.

Diets that are high in fat in addition to being bad for your heart are also bad for your sexual well-being. When your arteries are clogged it restricts your blood flow, which restricts it everywhere, including to the sexual organs. Therefore, sexual performance will not be at its peak. The foods that you want in your diet are those that are high in magnesium, potassium, Vitamin E, zinc, niacin, and amino acids.

Fruits and vegetables are not only good for you but they lower cholesterol, and stimulate the blood flow to your body’s organs. Fiber and healthy starches keep your heart healthy and pumping strong. When the heart is healthy and pumping strong it only makes sense that the sexual stamina will be increased. Whatever you may be missing can be supplemented by taking vitamins which can increase sexuality by increasing your energy levels, boost your circulation, and give you an overall sense of well being.

When you are stressed and exhausted the first thing on your mind is not sex, in fact, it is likely the last thing on your mind. So it is important to get adequate sleep and to decrease your stress level. One way to reduce your stress level is to take a nice hot bath, meditate, by doing yoga, or even by reading a good book. The use of scents and message oils and other lubricants can also help in creating a nice relaxing message but also a much more pleasurable experience all around. When a woman has an orgasm she is concentrating on everything that she is feeling, everywhere so it is important that she be feeling good all over.

Of course, eating right and exercising is not just for the woman but can add to a man’s sexual health as well. Men can also experience changes in their sexual health as well. Their changes are experienced due to illness, fatigue, medications, and/or diseases. A diet that is high in fat for a man can also lead to cardiac complications as it can with a woman and with the same results. Actually, the results can possibly be even more devastating because the man may not be able to experience an erection due to lack of blood flow. By adding fish and foods high in protein and low in fat to the man’s diet is an excellent way to get a man’s sexual health back on track.

The prostrate depends highly on zinc for good health. Zinc comes from fish and shellfish like oysters and clams. Vitamin E is known as the sex vitamin because it helps promote longer harder erections.

The reason the exercise is good for sexual health is because of the blood flow and the fact that it keeps you healthy. It makes you ready for a good, healthy sexual experience. Working out reduces your stress level. An orgasm reduces your stress level. So both your physical and sexual exercise are benefiting your healthy lifestyle.

Niacin constructs the sex and adrenal hormones. If you take it as a vitamin supplement it will mimic the natural flush that you get from sexual excitement. It will release the same hormone that is released when we are sexually aroused. It dilates the blood vessels, allowing for more blood flow which in turn allows for more sexual pleasure.

Is colloidal silver (whatever form is sold at health stores) effective and quick at curing infection?

November 13, 2009 Posted by admin

I was reading about Mesosilver- a product only available over the internet, but don’t really have time to wait to order it. Is it the same as the type from most nutrition stores? Has the same potency?
Also, can you take colloidal silver along with other natural things like apple cider vinegar and sugars? Is it safe yet still effective?
Thank you to anyone who can answer all questions!

If you’re taking it internally, you should keep it to one teaspoon per day. Yes, it can effective for certain things and you can combine it with anything.
