1.Why can’t you measure 50mL of flour accurately in a liquid measuring cup?
2.Why can’t you measure 50mL of milk in a dry measuring cup?

Try to follow me here. Liquid measuring devices measure volume or total space occupied by a substance. Solid measuring devices are based on weight. All liquid substance occupies the same amount of space no matter what the substance is. Water, oil, milk, pee, whatever, it all occupies the same amount of space measured by volume. Solids can vary. Get it?
