How can you get a good dentist (any dentist) to work pro bono?

I’m a 57 year old disabled female who worked all her life until about 5 years ago. I get $1,056 a month SSD. Medicare does not cover dental. The constant infections have made my health worse and my inability to eat food that needs more mastication than my gums and two lower teeth provide, have left me on a liquid diet (mostly) that has not helped my nutrition intake. Any ideas? Thanks.

When you find one, PLEASE let me know!

:)

I hope someone out there will be kind enough, after hearing your situation, to help you.

In some areas, organizations like the Salvation Army have programs where people who meet certain criteria are eligible for pro bono work by local dentists. There are also various charities that run reduced cost (or no cost) dental clinics. I would start by contacting a group like the Salvation Army and see if they can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Call your local dental society. If you don’t know where it is, contact the American Dental Association. They will direct you to the society. The society will give you a listing to dentists and surgeons in your area that provide pro bono or sliding scale services to patients. Try typing the name of your state in the search engine, Georgia Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, etc.
