I am a physician, and I agree that there should be more emphasis on nutrition, enviroment and alternative medicine in the medical school curriculums. Physicians are also obligated to continuos medical education…and we understand that the health sciences change fast, so I would not base the physicians knowledge only on their med school education.

Went to hospital …
Went to hospital for emergency appendectomy. I dont believe in or trust medicos at all but this was nessecary. Had to check myself out against their wishes by midday next day after surgery because they were going to kill me with the hospital food! I was in surgery late at night. next morning only allowed horrible thick liquid stuff,then when lunch came I was starving! I could not eat it-and Im not a picky eater- It was gross! something called fish & canned mushy pale “vegatables”. SICK!

Having had some alarmingly bad care from medical doctors in the past made me choose to avoid them at all costs. I have raised 2 children who have never seen a doctor, never had vaccinations or drugs. I’m not really sure where the authors of this video are getting the idea that doctors “don’t know about nutrition.” I think taking several years of biochemistry (along with everything else they’re required to learn), gives an MD a comprehensive idea of what the body needs, and where (ie what foods) to get it. By comparison, nutritionists don’t understand how the body uses essential nutrients, and thus are less apt to identify deficiencies, especially in the context of a difficult diagnosis.
